For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer's domain name, but not the e-mail address (where possible). We collect the domain name and e-mail address (where possible) of visitors to our Web page, the e-mail addresses of those who post messages to our bulletin board, the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, the e-mail addresses of those who make postings to our chat areas, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.

The information we collect is used for internal review and is then discarded, used to improve the content of our Web page, used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual visitor, used by us to contact consumers for marketing purposes.

We do not share nor sell our users information to third parties.

Once users have agreed to our Terms of Use and Privacy policy in the Registration page, they have opted-in to our database list and should expect to receive via their verified registered emails, the following types of correspondence from CupidVirtual.com: notifications of events such as received Interest, Chats and Messages from other users; system notifications; payment notifications; promotional events and Customer Service replies.

If a user no longer wishes to receive such correspondence they may cancel their account immediately by logging in with their user names and passwords and go to “My Account” where they can then click on the link “Cancel my Account”. However, since our technology allows users to keep their information stored for easy account set up on return, users may email us at and ask for complete deletion of all information regarding their accounts. This request will be processed in up to 72 hours.

Users may also control the volume of emails sent to them by setting E-mail preferences in the “My Account” tab. If an unregistered user receives any E-mail from us or via invitation of another user and no longer wishes to receive such information, they can click on our opt-out list located in the bottom of such e-mail messages. They will fill out a form at http://www.cupidvirtual.com/modules/profile/optout.php This will be processed immediately.

Users agree to register at CupidVirtual with and maintain a valid email address. The non-compliance of that can result in cancellation of the users account.

If a user feels they have received a spam, phishing or abusive mail with the CupidVirtual brand in it, they should forward this message to so we can investigate it and protect our good name.

With respect to passwords: Each user upon registration generates their own password. These passwords are automatically encrypted and stored in our server. No individual besides the user, including CupidVirtual staff, has access to it and for this reason, if a user forgets their password, they will have a new one generated by the system, so they can’t request their passwords to Customer Service, unless they give us authorization to manually create a new one for various reasons.

If a user uses OpenID as part of their registration process, CupidVirtual will only receive information the user has approved their OpenID provider to send us. This information will be treated with confidentiality and will not be distributed to third parties.

With respect to cookies: We use cookies to store visitors preferences, record session information, such as items that consumers add to their shopping cart.

Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers on-line will only receive telephone contact from us with information regarding orders they have placed on-line.

With respect to Ad Servers: We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our Web site to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our Web site periodically.

Customers may prevent their information from being used for purposes other than those for which it was originally collected by e-mailing us at the above address.

Upon request we provide site visitors with access to transaction information (e.g., dates on which customers made purchases, amounts and types of purchases) that we maintain about them, contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number) that we maintain about them. Consumers can have this information corrected by sending us e-mail at the above address.

With respect to security: We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.
